Meet Mia, an associate at Imaginable Futures. Her work focuses on supporting the US team in managing investments and activities for our two-generational approach for littlest learners and adult learners.

Prior to joining Imaginable Futures, Mia was a founding member of the real estate investments and development team at Emerson Collective, where her work centered around socially responsible development. In partnership with community members, she created assets that supported economic mobility, workforce development, attainable housing, cultural preservation and environmental innovation. Before transitioning to this role, Mia worked on Emerson’s venture investments team, where she invested in water technologies that could be used for social change worldwide.

Before attending university, Mia was an actress and singer in Hollywood. She has been a SAG-AFTRA member since 2004, and she enjoys acting, singing, and screenwriting in her free time.

Why do you love coming to work?

As a first-generation college graduate, first-generation Filipino American and female student of STEM education, I am passionate about education equity and supporting IF’s mission to provide every learner with the opportunity and tools they need to imagine and to realize a brighter future.



If you didn't work at Imaginable Futures, what would you be doing?

I would be a showrunner for one of my television pilots!



What did you want to be when you grew up?

A pediatrician.

Lanikai Beach on Oahu
