In 2018, Brazil approved the country’s first set of national learning standards, and while the legislation reflects a huge opportunity to significantly improve the quality of education in the country, whether or not the standards catalyze real change will largely depend on implementation. Reuna was founded in 2019, in partnership between Omidyar Network and Lemann Foundation, as technical and pedagogical expert to support the stakeholders – states, municipalities, publishers, and assessment companies – in implementing the country’s new learning standards.
