Why We Invested

Brazil's tertiary student population has boomed in recent years, fueled by private sector growth and the expansion of distance learning. Quero Bolsa, the core product of Quero Educação, is an online platform that allows prospective highschool students to compare their higher education options and access discounted prices. By providing more transparent information about universities and their degrees, alongside lower tuition prices and smart financial products, Quero Educação strives to help low and middle income students make more informed decisions about their tertiary education and persist to graduation.

More than 50% of Brazilians over the age of 25 haven’t graduated high school and only 16.5% hold a higher education degree. Quero Education shortens the path to education. The company also offers solutions to improve their experience and help them pursue their studies. Our work has changed the lives of more than 600,000 students currently enrolled and the number continue to increase as Quero enrolls one student every 30 seconds.
