Lemonada Media is an award-winning women-run podcast network that shares the unfiltered version of the human experience. The company’s podcasts, No One is Coming to Save Us, is a weekly podcast covering America’s child care crisis and the people of all ages who are crushed by it. Access to early education and care determines a kid’s future. Every Thursday, veteran reporter Gloria Riviera examines what’s broken in the system and how we can work together to fix it.

Why We Invested

No One is Coming to Save Us, by Lemonada Media, is a much needed podcast about child care in the United States. By blending data-driven research and personal storytelling over the course of multiple episodes, podcasts have the ability to bridge the gap between personal experience and systemic issues, digging deeper into the issues that shape our lives and impact our communities. In the absence of a robust public investment in child care infrastructure, families have had to navigate a patchwork of care options on their own, with their struggles unfolding in private—and we need to be hearing these stories, talking about it and taking action. That is why Imaginable Futures is supporting season two of No One is Coming to Save Us.

No One is Coming to Save Us was a Lemonada no-brainer. We read story after story of how parents are breaking, child care providers and workers are suffering, kids are languishing, but solutions have been missing. Gloria and Kristen helping shape the narrative and make the listening experience joyful and entertaining, which made the show creation an incredible experience for the Lemonada team, too.
